Wir Bauen Zukunft eG

Wir bauen Zukunft eG is a cooperative founded in 2016 and based in Nieklitz (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania), which operates a 10-hectare real-world laboratory for sustainable living, building, learning and economic activity on the site of a former future centre. As a pioneering project with model character, the team is developing a regenerative infrastructure (energy, water, construction), tiny houses, permaculture and workshops.
With the involvement of a broad network of partners, the project enables needs-based innovation, social enterprises and communal living.
The cooperative is complemented by the non-profit association Ecosphäre e.V., which promotes education, environmental and research work.
