University of Hamburg

The University of Hamburg is the largest research and educational institution in Hamburg. Its guiding principle is "Innovating and Cooperating for a Sustainable Future". Within the Agenda 2030 framework, its work is systematically dedicated to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Social entrepreneurship and social innovation play an increasingly visible role in research and teaching, as well as in the university's transfer activities. Its Sustainability Office and Transfer Agency have anchored this principle in their activities. The Timm Professorship focuses on social entrepreneurship and sustainable business models, while the Edinger-Schons Professorship researches and teaches social innovations and impact measurement.
