Good eyesight is something many take for granted – but for around 300 million people worldwide, this is not the reality. In Germany, around 230,000 people are classified as blind, and around 3 million live with severe visual impairment. For them, everyday tasks such as reading product information or recognising road signs are often difficult or impossible. The market for assistive technologies is growing, but many existing solutions are expensive, outdated or unreliable. This is where Lunar comes in with the LV02: an AI-based aid that supports blind and visually impaired people in their daily lives and enhances their independence and participation.
